Call your dad and get ready to tailgate; Dads Day is right around the corner.
Oklahoma States Dads Day celebration is on Saturday and there are plenty of activities planned to entertain the whole family.
Dads Day is an important part of the culture at OSU. If your father is an alumnus, this weekend is a perfect time to reacquaint him with his favorite areas on campus, and the packed schedule of activities will give your entire family plenty of ways to enjoy the weekend.
The Beta Upsilon Chis tailgate at 9:30 a.m. on Old Central Lawn marks the beginning of the days activitiesA reception for the Cowboy Parents scholarship winners follows at 10 a.m., and from there, activities are numerous. Tailgates, art shows, block parties and more are open to families free of charge, a full schedule of the weekends activities can be found at
In addition to the on-campus activities planned, several other groups have organized activities. OSUs residence halls, fraternities and sororities plan group pictures for a keepsake of the occasion, along with massive tailgates, trap shooting and other tailgating games to entertain the universityguests.
Dads Day is often an occasion that is overlooked by many, but it is an event that can prove to be wildly enjoyable for the whole family. Cowboy football will be closing out the day against Central Arkansas in Boone Pickens Stadium, so be sure to purchase your tickets from the Athletic Ticket Office at 877-ALL-4OSU.
